Well, after nearly a year of planning, lots of emails, many details, and a great deal of hard work, the first ever Cazenovia High School Class of 1998 Reunion was a resounding success! We all had a wonderful time meeting and greeting classmates we had not seen for much too long. Over the course of a weekend (October 10-12, 2008) more than 45 classmates, along with significant others, came together to enjoy a great reunion.
We started off the Reunion Weekend on Friday night with our Rock -n- Bowl event. Everyone who was in town stopped by the bowling alley for the first chance to see each other again and for some long-awaited socializing. Everyone had a great time seeing classmates come from near and far. This was also our first opportunity to meet significant others.
The next day, Saturday, was the main event at the Brae Loch, which started at 7:00pm with cocktails and music on the lawn. This truly was a relaxed atmosphere to mingle. Classmates and guests then moved inside to take advantage of the massive buffet. The evening ended with a bang as we all gathered to watch the Senior Breakfast video - accurately described as the highlight of the evening. Many classmates then moved to Alberts to laugh the night away as we watched the live entertainment otherwise known as Karoke.
On Sunday, a small group of classmates - those who managed to drag themselves out of bed - made their way to the Country Kitchen for a good ole fashion breakfast, capping off the weekend right.
To sum it all up, it was an extraordinary experience! The feedback that we have received from classmates is overwhelmingly positive. The Reunion Committee - Casey Frazee (Smith), Kristie Pichler (Roberts) and Tamya Pauley (Coombs) - would like to thank everyone who attended the Reunion Weekend and making it so great, especially those who traveled from outside the area. We hope you all had a fun reunion full of great memories.
For those of you that missed this celebrated get-together, we hope you will be able to join us for the next reunion. Here's to another 10!
